- Open the printer folder

- Sound Devices, Printers, and Hardware.
- Printers and Click Start Device.
- Move your cursor over the printer icon to display the printer status popup.
- The status of Ready means that the printer driver is functioning correctly. When printing, select this printer driver.
- You can set this printer as your default printer by right-clicking the printer’s icon. This will display a checkmark on the icon of your machine and will automatically select this printer driver when you print again.
STEP 7: (macOS) – Make sure that you have the correct printer driver for your Brother machine.
- Preferences for Apple Menu System Print Scan or Printers Scanners
- Choose your Brother machine from the Printers section.
- Verify which printer driver was used. This information can be found near the Type.
- Select the AirPrint printer driver and add the CUPS driver to your Mac, as described below
