Google Free Ads is a new program that is taking the Internet by storm. And why not – just the thought of free ads on Google makes every Internet entrepreneur’s heart beat faster. I have to admit, when I first saw the ad, my eyes lit up and all I saw were dollar signs. But behind my excitement was a fair amount of skepticism. Why on earth would Google give me free ads? After all, Google generates most of its billions in revenue from advertising klibrand.
Google Advertising Ads
The first impression is that this guy has found some kind of loophole in the system – something we can exploit to get top PPC rankings without paying for them. The author, a Dr. Jon Cohen (retired physician), claims to have earned more than $314 million from free advertising worth over $87 million! A pretty (amazingly) bold claim by any standard, but then again, this is Internet marketing and some people feed their families by making bold claims.
In addition to his bold claim of getting free Google ads with his “secret” strategy, Dr. Jon claims that he can accomplish the same thing on other PPC networks like MSN Adcentre, Kanoodle and Yahoo Search Marketing. That was enough to convince me and I just had to see it for myself.
Google Ads
So how does he do it? What is the secret to getting free Google ads? Well, it’s really quite ingenious and not that revolutionary. In fact, it’s simply the transfer of an age-old idea from print media to the Internet. In simple terms, the way to get free Google ads is to buy “ad space” and then sell it for a profit, while at the same time you can run ads. Let me explain…
The top positions in PPC are priceless and it’s like having a top placement in a search result, but without the work – you’re buying your way to the top. Now these top positions are not cheap and can cost a few dollars for a single click. But what if you were willing to spend the money and buy the top spots, get the clicks, and then sell ad space on the pages that get the clicks?
In traditional print media, some companies did just that – and they’re still doing it and making a fortune. These companies buy entire pages (for advertising) and negotiate a good price with the magazine for buying x number of pages for x number of years or months. This secures the magazine’s advertising revenue, and they are usually willing to make a good deal. The advertising company then sells advertising space on these pages that it has bought from the magazine.
Google Free Ads strategy
Transfer this to the Internet and you have the Google Free Ads strategy to get free advertising. Obviously, DR. Jon had to do a lot of testing and tweaking to make this work, and he came up with a mathematical formula for how much you have to pay and sell for your ad space. The really nice thing about this Google Free Ads system is that you can even make money selling the ad space you buy while promoting your own offers and building an opt-in list.
But here’s where it gets really interesting. Once it works on Google, just duplicate it on as many PPC networks as you can get your hands on. This is by no means a simple strategy, and as with almost all internet marketing programs, its creator claims it’s much easier than it actually is. Does it work? I don’t. My instinct is that it may very well work, but the profit margins are very small and you will need some money to get started. If and when it does work, it will probably work great.
