Its functioning

- Resawing: In woodworking, a difficult task is cutting wood pieces into two thinner wood pieces. This process is referred to as resawing. This task requires patience, time and a saw without limited cut capacity. On the table, the saw remains static, thus running blade in loop that is perpendicular to its teeth. Thicker blade is desired. To make straight cut, thin blade will not suit. Fence will be necessary to maintain straight cuts.
- Curved cuts: Band saw is favoured by many as it helps create curved cuts easily and effortlessly in wood. With its blade being stationary and in a loop, denser, bigger wooden pieces can be cut when compared to smaller portable saw. You are to trace out cut pattern on saw before time.
