Is mineral water good for you?
We know that mineral water is good for your health because it contains trace elements such as calcium, magnesium, potassium and sodium. However, it is questionable whether bottled natural H20 mineral water is good for your health.
Mineral water has long been considered healthy for bathing and sometimes drinking. This new bottled brand, however, encourages drinking large quantities every day.
According to the company’s website, a bottle or two of Mineral Water Plant prices in Pakistan, which is also available in two-liter bottles and coolers, can be helpful for many different and unrelated ailments. The company recommends this water as the first form of fluid consumption. However, it can be harmful to health.
H20 natural mineral water contains manganese, which is used to rebuild broken bones and replace cartilage. It is stored in the liver and kidneys, has a low daily requirement and is found in plant foods such as leafy greens and legumes.
The USDA states that drinking water has a higher bioavailability than food. The H20 Company promotes natural mineral water as a good thing, but the USDA says otherwise.
Natural mineral water is beneficial to health because it contains very low levels of elements. For example, many bottled brands can contain about as much as the body needs for a day in one 8-ounce glass. The H20 in natural mineral water has been ionized and treated to contain much more manganese than in nature.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture sets a maximum daily intake of vitamins. Exceeding this limit causes a number of health problems. Higher bioavailability allows for faster absorption by the body. It is rarely excreted as waste.
The USDA states that exceeding the maximum amount of manganese can cause liver and kidney damage. It is especially important that people with these health problems avoid drinking H20 natural mineral water.
Now that we know that mineral water is healthy and has nothing to do with manganese, what about other bottled waters? Let’s look at Perrier, which is rich in calcium.
Some time ago, a treatment plant worker was so convinced that Perrier mineral water was healthy that he tested the bottles. The results showed that the concentration of benzene (a carcinogenic industrial pollutant) was 15 times higher than the legal limit for shipping to consumers. Eventually, after testing a large number of batches, all U.S. products were recalled.
Brands packaged in plastic bottles can contaminate the water they contain because of the chemicals used to make the plastic. The use of polycarbonate and other polymers in beverages has been the subject of much controversy. Glass is the safest option.
The safest, most environmentally friendly and most cost-effective way is to purchase a water filter that balances minerals and removes contaminants. Then buy several glass containers and keep them in the refrigerator with a slice of lemon or lime. Then you will be sure that the natural mineral water is healthy.
